Konwent Big 10 Player of the Week, Again

Salem’s Kayla Konwent is crushing NCAA Division 1 pitchers. After batting .833 at Penn Sate this weekend, the Badger first baseman is now ranked 6th in the country in batting average (.490), and 8th in On Base Percentage (.580). In her three games at Penn State she went 3-for-4 on Friday, 3-for-4 on Saturday, and 4-for-4 on Sunday. She is tied for 17th in the country in doubles (12) ,tied for 15th in hits (48), and 22nd in NCAA D1 in HRs with 11.

After having already won Player of the Week two weeks ago, one would think she is in strong contention for Big 10 Player of the Month, for March. She currently leads the Big 10 Conference in Batting Average and Slugging %, and is 2nd in HRs, and 4th in RBI.

And this is only her first full season playing. She could possibly get 2 more years of eligibility.
