Panther Wrestling Club 4th at Rocket Open

The Wilmot Panther Wrestling Club took 4th place at the Rocket Open wrestling tournament in Richmond, IL on Jan 5th.

Placing for the Panthers were:

1st Place = Cody Rowlette
1st Place = Audie Gonzalez
1st Place = Ben Spalla
1st Place = Caleb Walshire
2nd Place = Colton Vroman
2nd Place = Parker Perez
2nd Place = Bryce Regnier
2nd Place = Luke Littel
2nd Place = Weston Fuchs
3rd Place = Mason Spalla
3rd Place = Marshall Benson
3rd Place = Kody Thurston

“I was very pleased with Richmond,” said Panther Club coach CJ Vroman. “We had some first-time wrestlers come out, place, and wrestle like they have been competing all season. We also had kids ‘wrestle up’ in skill level, and (they) still produced points for the team and themselves.”

“Cody Rowlette had a great showing. He has never been a wrestler who just goes out and dominates a bracket, but he did there (Richmond), and he showed a lot of growth.”

The team will compete this Saturday (1/18) in the Sussex Sabercats “Tear It Up’ Tournament in Sussex, WI.
