Noah Daniels Wins Snowmobile Championship

Brighton School 6th grader, Noah Daniels, won the 2018 snowmobile championship at Digger Doug’s Compound.

Noah Daniels flies through the air at Digger Doug’s Compound in Brighton.

Noah races in the junior division of the Digger Doug’s Bangor-X series.  The Brighton track, operated by former ATV National Champion, Doug Gust, hosts several snowmobile races during the winter months.

Noah Daniels takes a breather in between races at Digger Doug’s Compound in Brighton.

When asked what makes Noah a snowmobile champion, Gust said, “He runs a stock sled, and is just a very good rider.”  Daniels races on a Ski-Doo 600.

Noah Daniels heads out to the track for some practice laps at Digger Doug’s Compound in Brighton.

In just a few weeks, Gust will begin making his own snow to get the track ready for the 2019 season.

Brighton’s Noah Daniels receives his 1st place trophy from track operator Doug Gust.

Gust was a factory sponsored ATV rider for Team Suzuki,  He won National Championships in 1995, 1999, 2004, and 2006.  Nowadays, Gust races in the UTV series.

If you have kids who would like to get into racing snowmobiles, then keep checking back.  I will post more information as the season gets closer.  The Digger Doug’s Bangor-X series also has racing for adults.  Racing is a great family sport.

Congrats on the championship Noah.
