Panther Turnovers Costly in Loss at Badger

Defense Stellar in 14-0 Loss

The Wilmot offense outgained Badger in rushing yards, passing yards, and total yards.

The Wilmot defense pressured Badger all night long, and held them to just seven points.

However, the Panthers lost 6 fumbles, threw an interception, and had 2 TDs called back on penalties.

Coach Keiya Square was quick to credit his defense, “You know, they played phenomenal. For them to realistically give up seven points, they held a good offensive team down for the whole game. ”

As far as the six fumbles, Coach Square said ball-security is something they can work on. “We have to get back into practice, watch the film, see what is happening, if we’re holding the ball too loose, or what we were doing there, but even when you lose 14-0, and have 6 turnovers and two touchdowns called back, that’s a lot of self-inflicted stuff. So we’ve got to watch the film and go from there,” Square said.

Panther running back, Leo Falletti, led all players with 98 yards rushing.

Panther WR, Korik Klein (#19), picks up a first down on this 3-and-11 reception in the 3rd quarter. Badger won the game 14-0, as the Panthers lost six fumbles in the game.
Senior running back, Leo Falletti (#8), cuts back through this big hole created by his offensive line. He finished the game with 98 rushing yards.
Senior quarterback, Mike Bojesen (#7), scans the Badger defense during his pre-snap read in the 4th quarter. Badger won the game 14-0.
Wilmot feature back, Leo Falletti (#8), appears to score a game-tying touchdown with less than 5 minutes remaining in the game Friday night. However, the play was called back on a phantom holding penalty, and Badger would score a defensive TD on the very next play, to go up 14-0 with 4:34 remaining in the game.

Wilmot is scheduled to host Waterford at 7pm Friday night.
