Saturday Lakeland Tryouts Postponed

Lakeland Little League is postponing their scheduled tryouts for Saturday, March 14th due to safety concerns about the COVID-19 virus.

Here is the statement from the league.

Dear Club Members,  Lakeland Little League has been monitoring the development the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) closely. The well being and safety of our athletes and community members is our number one priority. As the situation has unfolded, sports leagues across the nation have postponed the start of their spring seasons. Due to the actions of federal and state officials in conjunction with our governing body Lakeland Little League is postponing tryouts originally scheduled for Saturday March 14th. We are hopeful that we can hold tryouts on Saturday April 4th. This is a tentative date at this point, and we will keep you posted as the situation unfolds.

On a positive note, this will give your athlete extra time to practice.

Also, walk-up registrations will be accepted at the tryouts, once officially re-scheduled = hopefully on April 4th.
