Komets 18U Win State Championship

The Kenosha Komets 18U Midget team won the Wisconsin Tier II State Championship in Fond du Lac sweeping the Green Bay Bobcats in a best-of-three series on March 8th and 9th. The Komets won the first game 2-1, then they opened up the offense in game 2 for a 5-1 victory.

The Komets 18U team has five countians on the team:

#2 Luke Shurtleff (Trevor)
#17 Kevin Keating (Trevor)
#39 Trent Kmiec (Salem)
#41 Shaw Johnson (Trevor)
#81 Chase Erickson (Trevor)

The team now advances to the Tier II National Tournament in San Jose, CA starting on April 3rd.

Defenseman Chase Erickson returns to the ice after an intermission. His Komets are going to San Jose, CA to play in the national tournament.

Shaw Johnson (#41)returns to the bench after an intermission. He is a 2019 state champion.

Defenseman Luke Shurtleff (#2) returns to the ice after an intermission. He is a 2019 state champion.
