Komets 18U Win State Championship

The Kenosha Komets 18U Midget team won the Wisconsin Tier II State Championship in Fond du Lac sweeping the Green Bay Bobcats in a best-of-three series on March 8th and 9th. The Komets won the first game 2-1, then they opened up the offense in game 2 for a 5-1 victory.

The Komets 18U team has five countians on the team:

  • #2 Luke Shurtleff (Trevor)
  • #17 Kevin Keating (Trevor)
  • #39 Trent Kmiec (Salem)
  • #41 Shaw Johnson (Trevor)
  • #81 Chase Erickson (Trevor)

The team now advances to the Tier II National Tournament in San Jose, CA starting on April 3rd.
