Randall School 5th grader, William Du Chemin, has pulled off an amazing 3-peat of state championships, while Panther teammate and Wheatland Center School 7th-grader, Logan Defilippo, wins his first state title, in the 91-pound weight class on Friday at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI.
Defilippo celebrated his win by going out for gyros Friday night. “I’m elated,” he said. This is his 4th year wrestling. It is his 3rd trip to state, his 2nd medal, and his 1st title. When asked how he feels about practice, Defilippo said, “I like practice, but I don’t enjoy it. It’s not really fun. But it’s necessary to be a state champion.”
Great job to all the state qualifiers. You are all champions.
