Panthers Beat Falcons in Physical Dual

The Wilmot Panthers won their final home meet of the season, on senior night, beating archrival Central 56-19. Wilmot head coach, John Watson, felt his Panthers didn’t wrestle their best tonight, and singled out the effort of senior Taylor Eidson. “I think the kids were excited about the match-up with our archrival, and we didn’t take advantage of a lot of opportunities,” Watson said. ‘I love the way our 170-pounder (Eidson) kept battling. He could have been pinned a couple times, but he kept fighting, and saved the team a key point early on to give us some momentum.”

Central head coach Jason Ladd said he was proud with how his guys competed. “I think most fans here know that it was a lot closer than the score showed. My 106-pounder (Evan Beth) and my 113-pounder (Collin Fort) are freshmen, and they battled all the way in their matches.”

Wilmot sophomore, Baylee Eaton, gats a drink after competing in her JV match.
