The Jr Panthers varsity football team had to travel into Chicago city limits to play their first round TCYFL playoff game. Asher Schroeder‘s break-away run on a 70 yard reverse put the team up for good. Cornerback Ayden Stowell played like a skyscraper in the defensive backfield, batting down several key passes. And Jorden Camp attacked Northside backs, in the backfield, like he was a real life panther in a savanna. The Jr Panthers beat Northside 14-6, at Lane Tech Stadium. They will play Lake Zurich next weekend, where the winner will advance to the 2A Superbowl.
Head coach, Mike Gentile said, “The staff did a great job of getting the kids ready, and the kids played with relentless effort all game.”
