Wilmot Raceway Adds One Last Race in 2021

Wilmot Raceway has added a final race for this Saturday, Sept 18th.

The track has wrapped up their season points races and crowned the 2021 Track Champions:

  • Nick Petska – Lightning Sprints
  • Rob Maule – Street Stocks
  • Chris Carlson – Modifieds
  • Ryan Zielski – Wingless Sprints
  • Jake Blackhurst – Winged Sprints
  • Scott Ellis – Bandits

Kenosha County had a strong representation in the 2021 season point standings (Top 10s):

  • Ryan Johnson (Salem) – 2nd Bandits (of 45 racers)
  • Mike Neau (Pleasant Prairie) – 2nd Lightning Sprints (of 30 racers)
  • Ryan Marshall (Kansasville) – 3rd Wingless Sprints (of 58 racers)
  • Chris Klemko (Bristol) 4th Wingless Sprints (of 58 racers)
  • John Dost (Bristol) – 4th Modifieds (of 42 racers)
  • Steve Ellis (Pleasant Prairie) – 4th Bandits (of 45 racers)
  • Dave Uttech (Kenosha) – 6th Winged Sprints (of 57 racers)
  • Jordan Paulsen (Trevor) – 7th Wingless Sprints (of 58 racers)

Bristol’s Chris Klemko (#70) talks immediately following his feature race on Sept 4th. He finished the season 4th in Wingless Sprint points, with eleven top-10 finishes.
Tate Hensley (#70H), of Trevor, talks about his rookie season in the Wingless Sprint class. The twenty-one year old Hensley finished 12th in points (of 58 racers), qualified for13 features, and had four top-10 finishes in 2021.
Ryan Marshall (#7), of Kansasville, talk just minutes before his feature race on Championship Night. Marshall was in position to win the track title, but had a car spin out in front of him, then damaged his own car trying to avoid the wreck. The good news for Marshall is that he is in position to win the more prized 2021 IRA title.
Salem’s Ryan Johnson (#38) won the Bandit feature on Championship night. Unfortunately he still fell 3 points short of the Bandit leader, Scott Ellis. Johnson won the Bandit track championship in 2019.

Kansasville’s Ryan Marshall (#7) talks after Wingless feature win on Saturday night. Marshall has won back-to-back feature races since getting caught up in a wreck on Championship Night.
Jordan Paulsen (#4), of Trevor talks about his wild ride in the B-Main on Saturday night.
Trevor’s Chris Dodd (#01) talks just minutes before he jumps in his #01 Wingless sprint car for a final time, and heads into retirement.
Chris Dodd (#01) talks after charging from 16th to 5th place in what could be the final race of his career. He announced his retirement a few weeks ago.
