Village Pub 2020 Horseshoe Champions

The Village Pub horseshoe team won the 2020 championship of the Western Kenosha County Horseshoe League. They beat Ralphs 11-5 in the championship game on Sept 1st.

The Village Pub won the championship in it’s 5th year with this group. The previous six championships, dating back to 2014, have been won by Packer Inn. However, Village Pub team captain, Allen Dunski, believes that his team was closing the gap every year. “Unfortunately, our arch-nemesis, Packer Inn, wasn’t in the field this year, but I honestly think that if they were in it, that we would’ve beat them.…. In the last 3-4 years it’s been us against Packer Inn (in championship game), and Packer Inn has always come out on top.”

Top players for Village Pub are Dave Quaid and Andrew Potter. They are both sanctioned horseshoe players and have played in the state championships, according to Dunski.
