Super Bowl Bound

The Westosha Jr Falcons 8th grade football team will take it’s undefeated record into the SEYFA Super Bowl at Carthage College this Saturday night. The 8th graders will have 7pm re-match with the Racine Park Panthers. The Jr Falcons won the regular season match-up 20-13 with an epic comeback in the final 4 minutes.

This Super Bowl is going to be an intense, hard hitting, street fight from the opening coin toss to the final hand shakes. I know, from experience. The Jr Falcons are led by the powerful offensive line of: Chase Roy (#99), Jacob Ward (#35), Connor Venard (#45), Hunter Rebicek (#64), and Devin Steininger (#56).

Jr Falcon running back, Garett Zagame (#46), stiff-arms this would-be tackler on this long run back in early September.

The Jr Falcons are 8-0, while the Panthers are 7-1, with their only loss being to Westosha, 20-13, back on Sept 28th. The Jr Falcons beat Christian Life last week, in the semi-finals, 28-6, while the Panthers beat Waterford 33-20 in their semi-final match-up.

It is going to be a great, and hard-hitting, game on Saturday night. Take the short ride out to Carthage College, and see grassroots football at it’s finest. Two local teams, loaded with athletic and very physical 13-year-olds, fighting for the love of the game, and a rare chance to be Super Bowl champions.
