Jr Falcon 8th Grade Firing on All Cylinders

Tyson Mengel might want to clear off some time on an upcoming Saturday. The Central head football coach has quite a pack 8th graders heading his way.

The skill guys are fast and mean. The linemen are oversized hogs, and they love what they do. The Jr Falcon 8th grade football team is off to a 2-0 start, and they are punishing their opponents. They beat a very strong Stateline team 20-0 in week one, and rolled over developing Bayview 50-0 this Saturday at Central.

The Jr Falcons 8th grade team stands for the Star Spangled Banner at Stateline in week one. They won the game 20-0.

Running back, Garett Zagame (#46), picks up 21 yards on this off-tackle run against Bayview on Saturday. And on the very next play……
……. Zagame (#46) breaks off a 29-yard touchdown run.
Running back, Christos Dovas (#8), darts through this big hole against Bayview on Saturday. The Jr Falcons won the game 50-0.
Christos Dovas (#8) scores this 4th quarter touchdown against Bayview on Saturday. The Westosha 8th-grade team won 50-0.
Mason Mitacek (#29) blows by his defender, and latches onto the Stateline quarterback.
Then Mitacek‘s good buddy, Jacob Ward (#35), shows up, and they finish off the Stateline QB.

I would love to see the Jr Falcon 8th-graders play the Jr Panther varsity team. Both teams are 2-0. There would be a lot of great match-ups in that one. Would the Jr Falcons try to cover Frisby with Meininger? How would Johnny Weber deal with The Hogs’ pass rush? They are in different youth leagues. However, as County Sports Page grows and gains more sponsors, we will arrange marquee match-ups (like this) and other special events.

Jr Falcons play Saturday, 1pm, at Racine – Roosevelt Park.

Jr Panthers play Sunday , 2:30pm, at Wilmot HS
